Bio: Bob, and his alter ego Carlos, began the business in 1981 in his fathers basement. Bob is pretty soft spoken, but don’t let that fool you, many days he can be found wrestling in the halls of Silkworm. Although he didn’t go home with the ping pong title at this years’ Christmas Party it was a bloody fight until the end. Bob is usually the first one in and the last one to leave, he just can’t get enough! President Chambers spends his days helping customers and overseeing the production side of the business.

Bio: Cheryl has worked for Silkworm longer than anyone else, besides Bob. Outside of Silkworm Cheryl can be found at any Saluki basketball game. Her favorite promotional product is a bottle zip because it will keep her beer nice and cold. The worst thing that Cheryl has eaten was Rocky Mountain Oysters…maybe she should lay off the beer a little! Cheryl’s life goal is to become a polished women, her work goal is to hit the million dollar mark earlier then the previous year.

Bio: Doug, the jack of all trades has worked at Silkworm for far too long. He spends his days working with customers, working on special projects and skateboarding. Doug, as well as many other Silkworm employees can also be found wrestling with Bob in the hallway. Doug’s favorite food is Chili Cheese Burritos with sour cream from Taco Bell.

Bio: Jason's specialty is boring people to death with Medieval History and showing off his Star Wars collection in his office, but he doesn't mind meeting with the occassional customer for business. Jason says his favorite football team is the Cleveland Browns, so we worry about him a lot. He also prefers plastic to paper but didn't specify what he prefers to be plastic.

Bio: Marialice Jenkins, or Coach, is the head basketball coach for Carbondale High School girls team as well as a Silkworm account executive. She handles a lot of the school accounts for Silkworm. Her favorite reading material is any psycho-killer-suspense novel and she loves to be continually humbled by the game of golf.

Bio: Mike Spielbergman (he is also the in-house video producer) has worked for Silkworm for over 5 years and says that his favorite thing to do on the weekends is to go to the park and teeter totter with his Chihuahua named Chiquito. Mike says that the worst thing he has ever eaten is Styrofoam, and there is probably a good story behind that!

Bio: Jill, the embroidery guru has worked for Silkworm for 2 years and Thread FX for 11 years. It goes without saying that her favorite promotional product is anything that can be embroidered. Jill’s favorite color pen ink is red, maybe that’s because she is also a Saint Louis Cardinals fan, but probably not. Her favorite past time is playing with her son Nicholas.

Bio: Michelle is a long time Wormer. What she likes best about Silkworm is that it is a young, creative company where the possibilities for team members are limitless. Michelle always comes prepared for work, that is she always has a 32 oz. Diet Pepsi fountain soda, in a Styrofoam cup filled ¾ full with ice, and topped off with lipstick on the straw…non negotiable. Michelle’s life motto is "happiness is chocolate."

Bio: Kim is Silkworm's Accounting Guru, which means she oversees the day-to-day operations of, Order Processing, Accounting and Customer Care. Her favorite part of her job is being in a family atmosphere, but there are those who think wearing sweats to work is really what she loves about Silkworm. Her life goal is to raise her kids to be respectful, caring and helpful while having a fun time. She is also a die-hard Cardinal fan and has been known to accept tickets as a bribe. GO CARDS!!!!!

Bio: Every company needs a daredevil and Silkworm has Lucas. He is involved in Motocross, Supercross and all around dirt bike riding. His goals in life are to invent a real light saber and have true jedi powers, and to be really fast on a dirt bike. He is a bit conflicted when it comes to some items we sell; he list whoopee cushions are both his favorite and least favorite promotional product. He claims his favorite part of the job is the atmosphere at Silkworm, but he seems pretty happy to get to wear jeans and T-shirts to work.

Bio: A self-proclaimed “redneck woman,” Christy has been with Silkworm for over 3 years now. She started in Purchasing/Receiving and has since moved to the Sales department. Christy is also a student at Southern Illinois University Carbondale studying Administration of Justice. She hopes to go to law school someday, but currently spends most of her free time playing with her daughter. They enjoy rodeos, fairs and any place they can sing and dance. She is most often seen in jeans, t-shirt and flip-flops or boots and claims to love anything pink, glittery or camo; proving that she really is Silkworm’s resident country girl.

Bio: ...or "Chi" as she¹s known as, due to the butchering of her full name, has worked at Silkworm 12 years. On a daily basis Chi works as a team leader, a designer, photoshop guru, and the in-house MAC tech. Chi takes in daily doses of hot java in the morning (sweet nectar of the Gods), and wonderfully delicious KFC sweetlove tea in the afternoon to keep her going. In the spring/fall can be found at one of Southern Illinois local wine festivals. Favorite vacation spot when Bob sets her free? Vegas Baby!

Bio: Be sure to bring those complex orders to Soo, she let is slip that her favorite part of her job is filling out order forms. She might have been being sarcastic though. She is the account coordinator to call if you missed a recent episode of any reality TV show. When not at Silkworm or watching TV she keeps busy with all of her hobbies which include playing the piano, photography, skiing, and of course shopping. As friendly as she sounds be careful about when you call her, she says the least favorite part of her job is being here at 8 in the morning.

Bio: Lisa is just more proof that Silkworm is a great place to work; after working in the Purchasing department for 15 years, she took a year break and has returned as an Account Coordinator. She is very happy to be back with the Worm family and is looking forward to using the knowledge she has gained over the years to help out as a member of the Sales Team. So far she can’t think of a single bad thing to say about her job, but will admit that her favorite time of year is around Christmas when suppliers send yummy treats for her to test.

Bio: Mike is someone you get to correspond with a lot if you have Silkworm create an original design for you. As Graphics Coordinator he gets to see all of the fun and exciting things our art department creates. Despite all the originality he gets to see, he swears that his favorite part of the job is signing an approval; always out to please those customers. A very casual guy all around he says that beer koozies are his favorite promotional product and he loves getting to wear jeans to work. He usually seems happy to be here, but does claim that the best part of his job is Christmas break. Then again, who doesn’t think time away from work is the best part of work?
